How I run marketing with a team of AI agents

Most people picture "AI marketing" as a prompt and a wall of generic copy. That's not how I work. I run marketing the way you'd run a small team — except the team is a set of agents, each with a clear job, and I'm the one deciding what ships.
The setup
Every function that used to be a person is now a directive an agent follows: research, drafting, publishing, reporting. The agent does the heavy lifting; I make the calls that need judgment — angle, taste, and whether something is actually good enough to go out.
The point isn't volume. It's that the boring, repeatable 80% gets handled, so the 20% that needs a human gets my full attention.
What agents are good at
- Research. Pulling what's being said in a space and where the gaps are.
- First drafts. Getting from blank page to something worth editing.
- Distribution. Reformatting one idea into the shape each platform wants.
What still needs me
- The angle — why anyone should care.
- The standard — killing anything that sounds like everyone else.
- The relationships — the parts of marketing that are just people talking to people.
The goal was never to remove myself from the work. It was to remove myself from the parts of the work that never needed me.
